Vantage Point Review

Vantage Point Vantage Point

Vantage Point is about the assassination of the President of the United States on a trip to Spain. We find out what's really going on by reliving the same fifteen minutes in the eyes of different people.

Well, the re-seeing thing definitely got annoying. It wasn't even done as flashbacks. The movie just kept going back. Even then, you aren't ever sure who's perspective you are seeing everything from. Not to mention, for having so many big names in the movie, most of them had very small parts. Sigourney Weaver seemed to be integral to the movie in the beginning and then just disappears after the first re-seeing. We see her a couple of times more but just for a couple of seconds each time. Similar things happen with the other characters.

On the up side, the story goes from simple to complex very quickly, and you end up getting caught up on what's going on. Every time you think you know what's going on, something changes, and new information is thrown at you. While I did like how complex the story was, I can't really say I enjoyed the movie very much in it's all.

If you are into movies about Secret Service agents and terrorists then this movie is for you. If not, then I'd suggest waiting for video before giving it a shot. It's not the worst movie I've seen but it did leave a lot to be desired.
